Interview: Lindsey Banks

While still young by universe standards, the beautiful Lindsey Banks has had a long and storied career as a cam girl. This stunning, fun-loving, smiley Texas girl started broadcasting in 2012, and exclusively with Flirt4Free since 2013. In that time, she has elevated her game, and become something more than a model. She’s been honored with a vast number of awards. Most recently, she was named Best North American Cam Girl at AW summit (which you can read about here). Whether lounging seductively in her chatroom, dancing up a storm at Flirt Summit, or spreading knowledge and good will to her fellow members of the “cammunity” as our brand ambassador, Banksie is one of the most beloved figures in our industry. We sat down with the lovely Lindsey to discuss her trip to Summit X and all the exciting developments of the past year. Please enjoy the interview below, transcribed in full.

Charles Farley: So do you prefer Lindsey or Banksie?
Lindsey Banks: I answer to both, but I think I've gotten to like Banksie better. More recently, friends have been calling me by my nickname because of my Twitter handle.

CF: What drew you to cam modeling? At what point did you discover it was something you loved to do?
LB: When I first started camming, I didn't even know what it was. It was something I slowly had to learn. What drew me to keep cam modeling initially was the money, but what I ultimately loved about it is the community. A community of members, other cam models and—in my experience— companies that care. It was early on, maybe a year or 2 in, but I didn't realize all the fun I had was actually something I loved and would continue to do over the years. Now I really can't imagine a life in which I didn't cam.

CF: What has camming taught you about yourself? How has it changed you?
LB: Camming taught me so much but as people tend to do, they grow. I had to learn to take control at some point. Once I did, I could feel so much start to change. My self-awareness, confidence and understanding grew while my patience got cut short. Hey, everyone is different! Open-minded is an understatement when I say cam broadened my mental capabilities. I've been through heartbreak and lost relationships, lost some friends, even family... it made me a stronger person to say the least.

CF: It was so good to have you at with us at Summit X. Did you enjoy Flirt Island?
LB: Flirt Island was absolutely divine. From the all-inclusive dinners and drinks, to the fun parties every night and waking up in a fantasy dream room, this year’s Summit topped all others … if that was even possible! I more than enjoyed it!

CF: What will you remember most about the Maldives?
LB: The most memorable thing about the Maldives, aside from time spent with friends, was the natural beauty of the entire Island! I got to enjoy a perfect sunrise almost every morning. One morning I rode all around the island enjoying the perfect weather, and even on the last day I got to have fun at the beach petting mantra rays and watching sharks through the clear water!

CF: Of the models you got to know on your trip, who should Flirt fans be on the lookout for?
LB: Legit, it's so difficult to pick 1 of all my friends on the come up so here’s 3! Flirt fans need to be on the lookout for Arianna Aries, Angel Dee, and Sasha Elite. They have been climbing the ranks and I personally think they are amazing girls. I had the honor of meeting all 3 before the Maldives, so with Summit X our friendships only grew. Arianna is the sweetest angel, Sasha is fierce af, and Angel Dee is definitely the most athletic!

CF: You take your role as F4F Ambassador seriously. What does it mean to you?
LB: When I became Brand Ambassador for Flirt4Free, I felt pride in receiving the opportunity to represent the brand. Encouraging strong and positive community social networking is important to me. I keep lots of my attention on communicating with others, and sharing experiences and knowledge because of the different environments we are all from. Being an ambassador is one of the highest privileges I've ever received and it's also become a lifestyle for me.

CF: This year, you traveled all over the world with Flirt4Free. What do you remember most about your “European Tour?”
LB: Of all the places I traveled this year, I made lots of memories during my European Tour. One of the best was the boat cruise in the beautiful city of Prague. There was great company aboard, too. Top models like Stefano and Hazina, and VIP from Flirt4Free. I even became friends with another Fleshlight Girl! We enjoyed a fantastic dinner and a gorgeous sunset as the city shined while the night grew.

CF: What should a new visitor expect when they enter your chatroom?
LB: A visitor should not expect anything from me if it is their first time in my room. Every day is different and not knowing what kind of day it will be or what will come next is fun, but its everyday life as well. It is also a bit rude to have expectations of something from someone you don't know. Get to know me and see how much fun my private and open chats can be.

CF: With such a large following, how can a new fan win your heart, or at least get your attention.
LB: Winning over my heart is something difficult to accomplish, but a good start is by following my Twitter and Instagram pages and then giving me everything you have. My handle everywhere is @Banksie231 for anyone who would like to try. (laughs)

CF: As a music lover, what’s on your playlist right now?
LB: I'm so stoked about my Spotify "Your Top Songs 2018" playlist! It has some of the music I listened to most of the year! I still listen to 2017 and 2016's list too! Anything that can make me dance is a yes! Artists include: Bad Bunny, Cards B, Drake, Nicki Minaj, Ozuna, Jhene Aiko, Ariana Grande, Beyonce (The Carters), The Strokes, Panic at the Disco, Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin, Danny Ocean etc. With songs like: "Thank You, Next", "In My Feelings", "Mi Gente", "Sativa", "APESHIT", etc. I've also been rotating some XXXmas music in the morning for the holidays.

CF: Do you prefer private shows or party chats? What can a new fan expect when they see you in one or the other?
LB: Private chat is definitely the best way to get to know me. My party chats are rare and fun, usually they end up like an actual party with laughs, dancing, etc. Although, I 100% without a doubt prefer private shows. It's just more intimate with no bothersome freeloaders.

CF: What are some of your most unforgettable experiences on cam?
LB: The unforgettable experiences on cam are a little weird to reflect on. Many different things have brought me happiness on cam. Twice I've won the Flirt Summit contest competitions. Another time, I broadcasted for 24 hours straight! There have been crazy shows and sometimes embarrassing things that have happened but I can't even count the numerous times when I logged in and someone made my day better simply by showing they cared.

CF: For aspiring cam models, complete this sentence: If I knew then what I know now, I would …
LB: If I knew then what I know now, I would... have taken over a long time ago!
