Good etiquette in most cases is common sense. That said, I don't follow Sugg's rules religiously. It really depends on the model. I have my own personal rules I try to follow and haven't received complaints.
1. First and foremost, I always try to be pleasant. If I'm in a bad mood, usually the models are very good at breaking me out of it. And if not, I choose to stay away so as not to darken anyone's day. No matter how bad a day I'm having or how difficult a model is, being nasty is never an option even in retaliation. Be pleasant and most girls will respond the same.
2. WTF is with begging? I'm not sure why it's such a problem. Doesn't everyone realize it's no way to get what you want anyway? And it's disrespectful as hell. I guess some idiots just get a thrill from being a complete dick.
3. If you want something (see above), ask politely or better yet ask in private. Show the model you are taking initiative and aren't just looking for a "quickee". Break this rule and you might aswell go rent a porno: it's cheaper and you'll get the same stony performance. Some models are very good at hiding what they are thinking, but it will still negatively affect how she responds to you.
4. Never call a model out in open for anything. Had a bad private? Leave it alone, find someone more compatible. Is the model having a bad day? Don't call attention to it! I don't know how many times I've seen a guy say "You look sad. Is something wrong?". It may seem sweet that you are concerned, but it can make models very uncomfortable in open chat. Afterall a fun environment is key in this business. If you are really interested, ask in private or at the very least whisper.
5. Speaking of whispering, it is a very useful tool but it can be abused easily. Remember that each whisper you send is hurting the model. She has to take the time to respond and may miss out on potential privates while she's busy carrying on a conversation with you. Save whispers for when they are necessary.
6. I have to disagree with Suggs on a couple points though. One is attacking the a-holes who insult a model. I don't find it sweet at all. It's promoting a negative environment. Humiliating him is fine as long as it's in good taste and not duplicating his nastiness. Most models can take care of themselves anyway. The BAN option is there for a reason. Like I said, being pleasant will make things run smoother. No need to provoke someone.
7. The model IS the most important person in the room. That said, a model who gets upset that you are talking to other members is, in my opinion, not worth the time. Models who interact with members even when the chat isn't centered on her are much more attractive to me.
8. This is tricky. When talking about other models in a room, you need to be very delicate. No comparisons between models AT ALL. No promoting other models. For the most part you shouldn't even mention other models unless you know it's okay.
I might get flamed for this, but I also have guidelines I wish models would follow.
1. If you aren't in the right mood to work, please don't.
2. If you aren't in the right mood but HAVE to work, try not to show it. Show some respect for members. They are here looking for good-natured fun. Try not to kill the mood. It's often easy to tell when a model is on an "off" day. We want you to enjoy your time with us, and if you don't we feel bad. Any good saleswoman knows that is bad for business.
3. Try not to overreact to the a-holes. Warn them, ban them, but don't insult their mothers or tell them to take their psych pills. It's a good indicator of a model's personality in how she reacts to these guys.
4. Have fun! If you aren't having fun, you have chosen the wrong line of work. Try not to let lack of privates or disrespectful chatters upset you. A fun open room is what puts me in the mood to take a private. Keep smiling and things will turn around.
5. Please don't ask for a private. It's the model's equivalent to begging and kills the mood. Don't use guilt to coerce us into a private either. It's disrespectful. Don't abuse the "nice guys".
Well to each their own, but I stick with models who can enjoy themselves and can provide a fun escape. These models are truly worthy of your respect, so treat them right!
