I wrote this post as a message to help a member heal, to create a dialogue between all of us who share the same experience, to heed warning to those that might fall into the same position.
Too often this happens as is seen in the dialogue. And I'm sure there are many more experiences.
I maybe a handicapped fellow with cerebral palsy, but creepy stalker I am not. I take responsibilities for my behaviors and activities in any situation. Maybe I can't help it if I wasn't born standing upright thinking that the whole world should listen to my own viewpoints. Alors, tant pis pour moi, non?
There really is no room here for self-aggrandizing comments. C'est-à-dire, I will not be playing naked chess any time soon.
Tristan_Normand I am sorry hear you suffer form cerebral palsy and totally agree that there are some models on the site who take advantage of viewers in their room. I might add that if this has happened to you please have a talk with the site. Yes emotions get high on the site and it does not in any way infer that you could be a stalker. There area lot of good performers on the site that I am sure would merely enjoy seeing you in their room.
I am truly sorry that you have had to endure these things on the site. One has to understand where Flavio is coming from and like it or not respect his point of view. We are all here to have and experience and a fun time. Should a model only appreciate you for your credits then they are a model to be avoided. Wish you all the best on the site and hope perchance I might meet you in one of the chat rooms.

You brought the word “enlightened”, which aroused my curiosity. I had to look it up in the dictionary. In the other post you talked about the “dark place” sort of thing. The terms “dark” and “light”, and the of philosophical marriage they have, both constitute a topic point related to this one. But let´s keep “responsibility” as the main point. We did not overcome it yet.

This will be a renascence trip, a painful road that only a few will ever think about walking, a huge barrier that, at first sight, seems impossible to go through. But you will.
I strongly encourage you to follow this example. Take that first step. Only one at the time. Do not compare yourself to where is someone else right now. Only compare yourself to what you were yesterday.
You are in the exact center of the universe, and there is a good reason for that.

I have had one performer go so far as to send me photos of "their lives", letters that professed their dedication, and their twitter account, etc. The system is set up to capture naive, insecure and lonely souls to make them empty their pockets for the most convincing performers. You learn to move on and pick performers that just perform and not try to mess with your head.

All of us (except the 1% who are true sociopaths) have emotional needs - the need for empathy, understanding, nurturing, guidance, or protection. The second type of spenders described by that Slovak duo are the ones who are not having their emotional needs fulfilled. They come to this site seeking fulfillment for those needs. Why can't they have their needs met elsewhere? It might be looks, social skills, mental health, toxic families, or something completely outside of their control. It is most likely some combination of these factors. All of this makes personal responsibility much harder.
I keep saying "they," but I am like that. Even when not expecting romance, even in full knowledge that a guy is straight, I easily become addicted to having emotional needs fulfilled. The positive attention. The notifications. The messages. All these dopamine hits can simulate emotional fulfillment, and they are powerfully addictive. I've let models treat me in ways that self-respect should never allow. I let one guy walk all over me, and I gave him way more money than I should have. I did this in full knowledge that he had a girlfriend and that he was straight. I did this because the addiction of positive attention completely upended dignity and confidence. And when this guy began making enough money outside of cams, of course he abandoned me. That's the dark side of this business. The manipulation, addiction, and unfulfilled needs.
Fortunately, I have gotten better at using this service for what it's best at. There is a good side of the business - the fun, harmless fantasy fulfillment from wildly talented performers. That has value. It requires healthy perspective, though, and healthy boundary setting. It comes back to what everyone here is saying - models are here to work. Most of them don't mean any harm. Protect yourself by limiting what you come here for. Enjoy the fun, and keep it at fun.

Look, I had a disfiguring accident. I used to take my looks and the attention I got for granted. Now i repulse guys or I get sympathy that I don't want. But I am still relatively young and I have my needs sexually and emotionally. I got tired of porn so here I am on this site and some others. I pay for attention here and in real life to get off. Once your money or credits are gone when your credit is maxed out, these guys are gone. It's my new reality. Apparently a reality that some of you have lived with longer than me and I now see things from your perspective. This is not reality here where someone will always have your back and be there when you are low. Just pay and get your rocks off. Don't keep paying for attention, you'll only be disappointed.

I don't think anyone should feel like a victim if they have spent a lot on a model because they enjoyed the tIime, either in private shows or being the high tipper in parties and public shows. There is a difference between a model actively scamming a fan by claiming that they needed emergency cash and asking for it from the fan, versus just acting really glad to see the fan when he shows up in the chat. If you enjoy the time/experience, both the pleasure of chatting with a hot guy and seeing him show off his body, as well as the pleasure of feeling that you are helping out a guy who needs the cash (particularly if you are a fan of the men from more impoverished countries), I think you can just enjoy the experience and think it is a fair trade--credits for time/attention/feeling of being important to someone's life.
Yes, it can be upsetting when a favorite model disappears. But that doesn't make it a scam--they might just move on with their lives and want to leave camming behind. We are our own victims if we take this site too seriously and fall for the models as if they are real life relationships. Everything here is an act. The screen names, our screen names, the supposed "real names", the "I love you's", even the give country of origin is often not true. Just sit back and enjoy then log off and live your real life. This is a place where we play and live out a fantasy. Clients, you go into the chatroom and pay for the fun that fulfill something that is missing in your life. Performers, the client only stays as long as they have credits and if they haven't found someone else that peaks their interest. Emotional highs and inflated feelings are superficial and temporary. In the end, when you hit "END SHOW", both sides of the screen hit reality. You are still your same self.

Reality isn't necessarily real. Everyone views the "real" world through subjective glasses and we all wear masks. "How are you today? " "I'm, great, thank you." Just more B.S.! Part of me has been more real in this pseudo fantasy world than in the real world. Some people are more open here in ways they cannot be in real life. Real desires; real fetishe; real fears. Delightful insights into the psychology of the mind. Of the models who are really gay and live in places where it is not gay friendly; we know the secrets their parents and friends don't know. This is a very good thread and a warning to those that may lose their hearts easily. But also you should not lose faith all together in people. Be true to yourself first and there is less chances you will get lost. Many models may not be able to be the lovers you want but many are honest about the friendships; even if it's temporary. There were genuine laughs; genuine smiles before they moved on. No doubt something lived on from the experiences you shared.

Very unique and close to accuracies even not mentioned. Customers, well balanced, realizes that Models are performers, how carni (carnival at times) they go is their discretion and believe customers realize the game, fun, and opportunities. Most realize flirting for free, they are requesting and enjoying appropriate tips and should, however 'jerk-porn' maybe a cras description, many models have described subject to me more definite and direct (one stating " being a cam whore for males and females"); the check the rules on outside contact on both sides going into any F4F contact and graces of the Models for/with your return....although many feel visit maybe a ' one time only so make the best of it the first time' scenario/ set up or not, they depend on return visits and 'fan' relationships not crazed, enjoyable and satisfying times spent while in their rooms, and stand up customers who feel they spent wisely, conducively, and acceptably aimed investmentalisms. let the customer beware has been always - the Models sure as heck have to be and admittedably some enjoy the dom technique alot, most are cool and fair.

Sometimes I can’t believe what unfolds before my eyes when I’m in a chat room and I see the interactions going on! One time a model tried to give me their number, claimed that they where in love with me and said it was their cellphone number. I immediately refused to accept the number. Just nip it in the bud before it gets out of hand. Let’s just have fun and have the right perspective it’s all fantasy and nothing more!!! Quote

For those that need to fill an emotional void in your life, do not look for it here or you will soon be out hundreds or thousands of dollars. There are many that will pick up on your weakness and take you and your pocketbook to town.

Models are used and many/most time one shot basis... they be friendly, working whichever on or angle and then finish out however. Both customer and model, unless regular, never expect to see each other and Model general and fairly assumes customer stops for fun and whichever and see ya and on or not to someone else next time. regular/fav etc Do Have relationships and get to know each other etc. Fan clubs, schedule knowledge, 'hey come back in an hour" whisper etc. Most both meet and greet here for stand up fun, both parties copestetic on/with arrangements. Block the crazies, allow the Models a 'pass to neutral/no model not available room', and continue the safe and fun time professionally structured to be followed by all.
